Thai nursery rhymes

"A spider crouches on the ceiling
Cats eat fish
A dog bites your bum!"

Makes me wonder how our own songs and children's rhymes sound to others.

Rockabye baby is pretty weird, when you think about it.

  1. This really made me giggle because I've always thought Rock a Bye Baby was horrible if you listen to the words. Hey Diddle Diddle sounds like it was made up by someone on an acid trip. --Lisa

    1. Hahaha totally! Peter Peter pumpkin-eater isn't exactly normal, either.

  2. That is a weird nursery rhyme, but the hand motions make it awesome!

    1. It has a first verse but I couldn't remember it exactly when I was posting yesterday, it's:
      A spider on the ceiling
      Falls down
      And runs back up

The you do the second one about the dog bite.

In Thai it has rhyme and meter of course...but it's still weird. :)

  3. I thought at first you were translating an obscure verso of Little Miss Muffet!

    1. Hah! Well it wouldn't be that crazy, considering there is a Thai version of Mary Had a Little Lamb that's about a cat.
